A Google Business Profile that stays accurate
Correct hours, the right categories, real photos and regular updates, plus someone watching for edits you didn't make.
Why it matters
For a local business, the Google Business Profile is often the first and last thing a customer looks at: your rating, your hours, your photos, your phone number, and a button to call. When any of that is wrong, people call the wrong number, show up when you're closed, or pick the competitor whose profile looks looked-after.
What we keep up to date
- Basics: business name exactly as it appears in real life (no keyword stuffing, which Google's guidelines forbid), phone, website, hours and holiday hours.
- Categories and services: the primary category that best describes you, a few accurate secondary ones, and a services list in your customers' words.
- Service area: for businesses that go to customers, a service area instead of a public street address, so your home address doesn't show.
- Photos: real photos of your work, team, vehicles and premises, added regularly.
- Posts and updates: short updates on offers, seasonal services or closures.
- Questions and messages: checked and answered, if you use those features.
Watching for trouble
Anyone can suggest edits to a Google listing, and Google sometimes accepts them. We check the profile regularly for changed hours, phone numbers, categories or a moved pin, and fix them. We also watch for things that put a profile at risk of suspension, such as a name that doesn't match signage, a virtual office address, or duplicate listings, and we help with reinstatement requests when a profile is suspended by mistake.
Questions
Do we have to give you our Google password?
No. You add us as a manager on the profile. You stay the owner and can remove our access at any time.
Can you get us ranked first on Google Maps?
No one can promise that. Google says local results are based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. We work on the parts you can influence: an accurate, complete profile and a steady flow of genuine reviews.
We don't have a storefront. Can we still have a profile?
Yes. Service-area businesses can hide their address and list the areas they serve instead.
